Literary Responses And Analysis

   Modern writers wrote about alieniazition felt all over the over the world For Example stories"A Rose for Emily":William Faulkner "The Feather Pillow" Author:Horacio Quiroga poems "The Love Song of J.Alfred Prufrock" Author: T.S Eliot "Miniver Cheevy" Author :E.A Robinson all have people that are all sick or dying or dead in the stories.

   An example of a short story author is Horacio Quiroga.he wrote the feather pillow which is about an everyday thing that you would never expect to harm you .The feather pilllow is very suspenseful because no one knows what is wrong with Alicia until the end .That is when you find out what killed Alicia.

Two examples that go with my thesis are "on the following day she awakened feeling faint"

"Alicia had no more fainting spells,but she was visibly moving toward death."

  Another WWI short story author is William Faulkner who wrote the short story "A Rose for Emily". A Rose for Emily is about a lady named Emily that has just passed away , a person from the town is talking about Emily.The person talks about how Emily was diffrent and strange.In this story examples that go with my thesis are "Alive Miss Emily had been a tradition a duty and a care,sort of hereditary obligation upon the town".

   A poet during world war II  is Edwin Arlington Robinson.He wrote Richard Corey

Richard Corey is about a man that is thought to be the most perfect person in the town.But you shouldnt judge a book by its cover because it can be somtimes be something different on the inside like Richard Corey.Two examples from the poem that go with my thesis are: "And Richard Corey one calm summer night went home and put a bullet through his head"  "In fine we thought that he ws everthing to make us wish that we were in his place.
